Here are the Beaver 100.3 Songwriter Search rules…
Submission phase: Starting Saturday February 27th through Sunday, March 20th, 2016 11:59am, listeners must submit a country mp 3 song file and photo through the Beaver 100 3 dot com website for a chance to win 500 dollars and a chance to perform at Rivers & Spires 2016. The person submitting the song must be able to perform the specific song in front of a crowd should they win. The winner cannot have another person perform their song. Beaver 100.3 cannot assist in uploading material in any way.
The song must be an original country song created by the sender. Entries containing inappropriate photos or music will be disqualified. Any photograph submitted to Beaver 100.3 will become the property of Beaver 100.3 and may be used in any manner it feels appropriate in the future. One entry per person. Multiple entries by an individual will disqualify all entries by that individual. Beaver 100.3 has the final say of what content is appropriate for the website. No use of indecent or obscene material, no content or material that is illegal, contains nudity or is sexually explicit, or by law, obscene, profane or pornographic is permitted. By entering this contest you are verifying that you are the owner and producer of the submitted material and that no third party ownership rights exist to the photo submitted
Online voting phase: Starting Monday March 21st at 12:01am through Sunday March 27th at 11:59pm
The voting phase at beaver 100 3 dot com. The 10 songs with the highest vote count will be deemed the 10 semi finalists and move on to the on air voting segment.
Listeners must register to vote and can vote once per day during the voting round. Voting is limited to one vote per verified email address per person. If an entrant receives irregular votes from the same user or users, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, other automated means or other source, Beaver 100.3FM reserves the right to disqualify the entrant in its sole discretion
On air voting phase: Starting March 28th through April 1st 2016 at 4pm
Each day at approximately 4pm, the Beaver 100.3 will air partial audio from 2 (two) of the semi finalists head to head on the air. Votes will be tallied from phone calls between 4pm and 4:30pm to 877 999 9887. Text messaging from 4:30pm-7pm. Only one text per phone number per day will be accepted. The song with the most combined votes moves on to the final 5. This phase will narrow the field to the final 5. If an entrant receives irregular votes from the same user or users, including but not limited to, votes generated by a robotic, programmed, script, macro, other automated means or other source, Beaver 100.3FM reserves the right to disqualify the entrant in its sole discretion. If there is a tie then a random drawing will occur conducted by a station representative.
Final phase: The Final 5 finalists will be evaluated on Friday April 1st 2016 after 7pm by a panel of 5 judges from the 5 Star Media/Beaver 100.3 staff. The judges will pick the winning song based on the following criteria: lyrics, creativity, and overall sound.
The judges will choose 1 winner and 1 runner up. The runner up will be the official backup if for some reason the winner can’t accept the prize and perform at Rivers & Spires on April 14th. The Beaver reserves the right to refuse any submission that is indecent, is not original or does not meet contest guidelines. One valid entry per contestant.
Judges will rank each of the 5 finalists from their most favorite to their least favorite. Each judge’s most favorite will be awarded 10 points; second favorite, 8 points; third favorite, 6 points; fourth favorite, 4 points; and least favorite, 2 points. The entry with the most total points will be awarded the grand prize. In the event of a tie, a random drawing of all tied contestants will determine the grand prize winner. Judges will make their decisions in their sole discretion with Beaver 100.3. Judges decisions are final and not reviewable.
The winner will be chosen and announced on the air Monday morning April 4th. The grand prize winner will receive the $500 prize and the opportunity to perform on stage prior to the Beaver Country Songwriters Showcase at Rivers & Spires April 14th 2016.

Beaver 100.3 contests are open to all eligible Tennessee and Kentucky residents 18 or over. Employees of Beaver 100.3, 5 Star Radio Group, Saga Communications of Tuckessee, LLC, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the Beaver 100.3 main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. Winners will be notified by email. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If Saga - Clarksville/WCVQ & WVVR cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.
Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, they will be disabled and votes disqualified.
Saga - Clarksville/WCVQ & WVVR reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
Saga - Clarksville/WCVQ & WVVR reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60-mile radius of the affiliate's' office.
Employees of Saga - Clarksville/WCVQ & WVVR, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
Entrants further grant to Saga - Clarksville/WCVQ & WVVR the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.
Saga - Clarksville/WCVQ & WVVR reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.

All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.
Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
