CLARKSVILLENOW.COM ‘BACKYARD BLISS’ Contest Rules
Beginning at 12:00am on Sept. 4, 2013 through 11:59AM on Sept. 21, 2013, you can attempt to qualify to win on of the following prizes: a 4-person FreeFlow Plug and Play Hot Tub valued at $3,995.00 retail; a Kamado Round Primo Ceramic Grill with Stand valued at $1,195.00 retail, or a Fire Ring Pit with Grate valued at $595.00 retail all provided by Sango Pool and Spa. The contest is open to those who hold a valid article of state identification and are 18 years of age or older.
There are 2 methods in which a person may attempt to qualify:
1. First, Persons may attempt to qualify by creating a UPickEm account at ClarksvilleNow.com and completing the necessary registration process. Online registration will take place from 12:00am on September 4, 2013 through 11:59PM on September, 18 2013.
2. Persons may also attempt to qualify by registering at the Sango Pool and Spa booth between 7am-11:59am at the Clarksville Fitness Fest, Sept. 21 at the Memorial Health Building (Red Barn) at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville.
On Sept. 19, staff at 5 Star Radio Group will randomly select 50 qualifiers from those that registered at ClarksvilleNow.com and invite them to the final grand prize giveaway which takes place on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Clarksville Fitness Fest at the Memorial Health Building (Red Barn) at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville. On Sept. 21, 5 qualifiers will be chosen from event registration and added to the final pool of contestants. Online qualifiers must check in between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Sept. 21. Any online qualifier arriving after 12pm will not be allowed in the final selection process. All qualifiers must present a valid article of state identification in order to be eligible. No stand-ins allowed. Following the registration time, contest officials will announce how the final selection process works.
At the final grand prize giveaway, station personnel will randomly select a number to win the hot tub, then select another number to win the grill and a third number to win the fire pit. If for any reason a winner is deemed ineligible, another contestant will be selected to win the forfeited prize. Winner is responsible for all taxes and fees.

WCVQ, WVVR, WKFN, WEGI, WZZP and CLARKSVILLENOW.COM contests are open to those who have not won anything on WCVQ, WVVR, WKFN, WEGI, WZZP and CLARKSVILLENOW.COM in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.
Employees of WCVQ, WVVR, WKFN, WEGI, WZZP, CLARKSVILLENOW.COM, and SAGA COMMUNICATIONS OF TUCKESSEE, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WCVQ, WVVR, WKFN, WEGI, WZZP and CLARKSVILLENOW.COM main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
No purchase necessary. One valid entry per contestant.
You must be 18 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. This contest is void where prohibited by law.
Winners will be notified by email. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If WVVR cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.
Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, they will be disabled and votes disqualified.
WVVR reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
WVVR reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60 mile radius of the affiliate's' office.
Employees of WVVR, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
Entrants further grant to WVVR the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.
WVVR reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.
The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, and/or WVVR. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.
UPICKEM and WVVR are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.
Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
WVVR reserves the right to change the rules at any time.
